About us
Our charity was founded during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The winter was hard for a lot of people, especially the families having financial difficulty. In the years past, I had already set out to bundle up neighborhood children at school bus stops without coats. But when I became the PTA President at my daughter's school, my "neighborhood" got bigger. So many students were in need of things like coats, school materials and even food. It was then that "Suspend The Shiver" was founded. With the help of some wonderful school staff and administrators, we collected and provided coats for many students and their families. Since then, we have collected and provided coats to many families, not just in our community. We hope to be able to reach the entire state, and one day, the nation, by providing warmth and friendship to anyone in need.
